Day 1 Arrival in Beijing (/)
8 Days China Tour starts when you arrive in Beijing. Upon your arrival in Beijing, our professional tour guide will pick you up at the Beijing international airport and transfer to your hotel in Beijing with air-conditioned private vehicle.
Day 2 Beijing Tour (B, L)
Today you will visit the Tian'anmen Square, the biggest public city center square at the city center of Beijing. Tian'anmen Square is so large enough to accommodate an assembly of one million people. It is just in front of the Forbidden City, covering an area of over 100 acres. Then follows the visit to the Forbidden City. It is also called Palace Museum and is located at the center of Beijing. It was the imperial palace during the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1616-1911) dynasties. it is the world's largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. The Forbidden City was built between 1406 and 1420. A period extending over 500 years.
After lunch, you will visit the Summer Palace, the best preserved and the largest royal garden in China, with a history of over 800 years. The Summer Palace is usually regarded as the most beautiful park in Beijing. The combination of natural landscape of hills and the lake, together with artificial pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges turn into a beautiful scene. In 1998, it was listed as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
After the day tour, we suggest you go to taste and enjoy Peking roast duck dinner, and a chinese trational Kungfu Show in the evening. (Optional, price exclude)
Day 3 Beijing Tour (B, L)
Today's tour will take you to visit The Eighth Wonder of the World---Great Wall. The Great Wall is a symbol of the ancient Chinese civilization. Stretching 3,950 miles, The Great Wall was built as a defensive structure. It is listed in the United Nation's Education, Science and Cultural Organization's (UNESCO) World Heritage List in 1987. On your way back, you will visit the Ming Tomb, where you can see the underground palace of the Chinese emperors with their valuable authentic burial objects. The Ming Dynasty lasted from 1368 to 1644. The Ming Tombs are a group of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors, their empresses and their concubines. The tombs are located about 31 miles north of Beijing and are scattered across an area of 25 square miles.
On the way back from downtown to city, we will recommend the driver and guide take you to have look at outside view of Olymplic area, Bird Nest and Water Cube. then you are going to have a break and enjoy the Chinese traditional tea ceremony at the tea house.
Day 4 Beijing to Xian (B)
Free in the morning, or if your plane is not early departure, we will recommend you Hutong tour (Optional, price exclude) in Beijing before transfer you to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. Stay in Xian hotel.
Day 5 Xian Tour (B, L)
After breakfast in the hotel, you will visit the incredible 2000 year-old Terracotta warriors. The Warriors are part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures in full battle array are formed for battle in several large pits. If you are interested, we can drop in to the factory where you will be introduced to the whole process of making the duplicates of the Warriors and Horses.
In the afternoon, we visit the Xian ancient City Walls. It is the landmark of the ancient capital city - Xi'an. The City Wall of Xian is the best preserved one that during urban modernization in China. The city wall was as well an ancient military defensive systems in history. It's great place to have a walk or bicycle to view different city.
Day 6 Xian to Shanghai (B, L)
Visit one of the best museums in China, the Shaanxi Historical Museum. We will have a a local lunch in Muslim Quarter where local Muslim culture vivid present. After a lunch at a local Muslim restaurant, we will drive to Hanyanglin Mausleum which is the one of the important discoveries after Terracotta Warriors. After that we will drive to Xian airport and fly to Shanghai.
Day 7 Shanghai Tour (B, L)
We start the day by visiting Shanghai Museum. Then we head to the Shanghai World Financial Center, which is a supertall skyscraper under construction in Shanghai, China, the world's third tallest building. In the afternoon, we take a relaxing walk to the lovely old Yuyuan Garden, the most famous garden in Shanghai. It is also a shopper's paradise with many small shops. After that, we will go directly to the Bund - the old colonial sector, which is home to a myriad of European-styled buildings that face the Huangpu River.
Day 8 Depart Shanghai (B)
Your time is your own, until you are ready to be transferred to the airport for you to depart for your next destination.
