The Miao live mainly in southern China, especially in Guizhou province. You will enjoy to visit some Miao Ethnic Minority Villages in Guizhou and most of them are located in remote mountainous areas. You will also enjoy to see long-horn Miao girls, local arts and crafts, distinct buildings, colorful life styles and unique culture of the Guizhou Miao people in this 5 days Guizhou tour.

Day 1 Guiyang-Liuzhi
You will be met and welcomed by your guide when you arrive at Guiyang Airport (early flight). Today you will experience the remaining culture of the old Han (Chinese) ethnic group. We will drive for 1.5 hours to reach Liuguan Village. Women here are still dressed in traditional Ming dynasty costumes, and houses remain faithful to the Ming architectural styles. The ancient stone house, lots of legend story, warm-hearted people, and their lovely smile will leave you an unforgettable experience. We will watch a local Ground Opera performance, famed for the performers' symbolic masks, the opera in Liuguan dates to 1382, during the Ming Dynasty. It is said as one of the oldest operas of the world, which is still surviving. Later we will drive westward to Liuzhi.
Day 2 Liuzhi-Guiyang
Today we will go to the famous Long Horned Miao-Suoga. The Longhorn Miaos are so called due to their unique hairstyles and headdresses. Women wear wooden cones, around which they bind their hair, securing it up with white woolen cord. This headgear symbolizes the group's respect for nature. We also plan to stop off to see the Four Seal Miao. The women don't have silver jewels like other tribes, but wear colorful garments embroidered with four square patterns. Some women like to use a long, wide blue cloth to wrap their hair bun. We will drive back to Guiyang in late afternoon.
Day 3 Guiyang-Kaili
Today we will explore villages around Xiaba. In the morning we will hiking through the Damochong Valley, an area of quaint villages, dense bamboo groves, and clear streams. We'll stop along the way and learn about the art of traditional paper-making. After lunch, we continue to hike for 3 hours through this area of quaint mountain villages and reach Yandi White Miao Village, then we wil visit a local family and chat with the people. We will drive to Kaili this afternoon.
Day 4 Kaili-Xijiang
This morning we will drive to Jiaogao Village from Kaili along the Bala River. From here you can spend about 2 hours hiking from the crystal clear stream to Wugao Miao Village (please take sandals with you). Then we drive to the biggest Miao village in China-Xijiang. After watching a performance given by local people in the evening, we climb up to the mountain top to appreciate the beautiful night view of Xijiang.
Day 5 Xijiang-Guiyang
You can get up early to see the peaceful rural life in Xijiang.Then we will drive 3 hours to Guiyang Airport for you to depart for your next destination.
