Trip Itinerary & Travel Details

Day 1: Arrive in Urumqi
Arrive in Urumqi, our tour guide and driver will greet you at the hall and then transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for personal arrangement.
Day 2: Urumqi-Turpan
This morning you will go to visit the Heavenly Lake. On the way you will have a visit to a yurt, traditional tent dwelling. The Heavenly Lake is located at the highest peak in the east range of Heavenly Mountain. The lake has a reputation of the Pearl on Heavenly Mountain for its fascinating scenery. You can take a boat on the lake or do some light hiking. After that we will drive to Turpan. Then you will visit the famous Karez Underground Irrigation System. This evening you will enjoy a meal with a local Uyghur family.
Day 3: Turpan Tour
This morning your first destination is Jiaohe Ancient Ruins. It is the the oldest and best preserved ancient ruined city in China and has become one of key historical sites under state protection since 1961. The you will visit the Emin Minaret. It also known as Sugong Tower. Emin Minaret is one of the most famous Islamic constructions and the only Islamic tower in China. After that, we are going to visit the Astana Tomb, which is situated in the Gobi Desert. The tombs were the burial sites by the inhabitants of the ancient city of Gaochang. Then passing by Flaming Mountain to Visit the Bezkelik Thousand Buddha Caves. They are a group of Buddhist cave grottos dating from the 5th to the 9th centuries. At last, we will drive back to Urumqi and then take the evening flight to Kashagr.
Day 4: Kashgar Tour
Today we will visit Grand Bazaar and livestock bazaar. Grand Bazaar is situated in the East Gate of Kashgar, and is the biggest international trading market in northwest China. Then we will visit the largest mosque in China-the Id Kah Mosque. After that we will visit Abakh Hoja Tomb. It is the burial place of Princess Xiangfei who was taken as a consort by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty during the 17th century in a figure of a Chinese legend. Later we will visit the Old City of Kashgar, a key center on the Silk Road.
Day 5: Departure
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Urumqi and then flight back to your home. End of the 5-Day Urumqi Turpan Kashgar Tour service.
