Day 1: Arrival in Guangzhou (/)
Our guide will hold a welcome sign meeting you at Guangzhou Airport or the railway station and then transfer you to the hotel. The rest day is free to have the chance for shopping or to explore this booming city on your own.
Day 2: Guangzhou (B, L)
Full day tour in Guangzhou, starting from the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. It is really a magnificent building in the shape of octangle. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is built in order to commemorate the contributions of Sun Zhongshan, the great predecessor of Chinese revolution for democracy. Then will proceed to visit the Five-Ram Sculpture in Yuexiu Park. The charm of Yuexiu Park as one of the new Eight Attractions of Guangzhou is completely presented by verdant trees, thriving bamboos, and blooming flowers. Besides the splendid natural wonders, there are many famous cultural scenic sites of different historical period.
After lunch, visit the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees. It is noted for its stately pagoda, luxuriant trees, and many Buddhist relics. You will then go to the Porcelain Factory, you will see how to make procelain.
Day 3: Guangzhou-Changsha (B, L)
Today we leave you free to explore the city until the time you will be transferred by shuttle bus to the railway station for your journey to Changsha. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Then check-in at hotel.
Day 4: Changsha (B, L)
After breakfast, you will first have a visit to the Yuelu Academy, an one-thousand-year-old institution for higher learning. Since the Song Dynasty many famous scholars had lectured and studied in this academy. Then you will visit Hunan Provincial Museum. This museum has a collection of more than 110,000 objects, over 763 of which are top grade cultural relics. The unearthed in Mawangdui Han Tombs are highly recommended because of the amazement they have brought to people. At last, visit the Juzizhou Island which is the longest sand island in the centre of Xiangjiang River in the world.
Day 5: Changsha-Zhangjiajie (B, L)
In this morning, you will have a 1 hour driving to Mt. Shaoshan, to visit the Former Residence of Chairman Mao and his Memorial Hall as well. The former residence of Chairman Mao is located in the prosperous flat land between mountains.Chairman Mao was born and spent his childhood and boyhood here.Some original objects and photos of Mao Zedong and his parents can be found in the houses.Then, after another 4 hours long driving, you will reach the mysterious Zhangjiajie. Our guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After a long journey, now youcan have a good rest.
Day 6: Zhangjiajie tour (B, L)
Take a 45-minute cable car journey from the city to the Tianmenshan-a famous mountain first recorded in the history of Zhangjiajie. Here Tianmen Mountain cableway, Heaven-linking Avenue, Tianmen cave and Bonsai garden in the air are reputed as the four great wonders. It will bring shocking and unforgettable experience for the tourists. In the afternoon visit the largest karst cave in Asia-Yellow Dragon Cave, which is home to an impressive collection of stalactites and stalagmites, illuminated in a variety of colored lights.
Day 7: Departure from Zhangjiajie city (B)
