Day 1: Arrive in Guangzhou (/)
Welcome to Guangzhou, the South Gate of China which is a vigorous and prosperous metropolis in southern China. Our guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The you'll be free to explore on your own or you can ask your guide for suggestions.
Day 2: Guangzhou tour, Guangzhou-Guilin (B, L)
The guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning. You'll visit the Sun Ya-tsen Memorial Hall located at the southern mountain slope of beautiful Yuexiu hill. The Memorial Hall is built in order to commemorate the contributions of Sun Ya-tsen, the great predecessor of Chinese revolution for democracy. Dr. Sun is regarded as the Founding Father of Republican China. Sun's philosophy is well known as the Three Principles of the People: nationalism, democracy, and the people's livelihood.
After that you will visit the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, which is also called Chen Clan Academy. The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall was built in late 1890's and it is the largest, best preserved, and best decorated ancient architecture we can find in Guangdong province now. Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is now used as Guangdong Folk Arts Museum and there are quite a lot precious cultural relics and works of folk customs like ceramics, embroidery and carvings on display there. After lunch, we'll visit the famous ancient Buddhist temple in Guangdong, the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees and explore a city market. Afterwards, you'll fly to Guilin.
Day 3: Guilin-Li River cruise to Yangshuo-Guilin (B, L)
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel. You will be transferred to Zhujiang Pier and board Li River cruise ship. Li River is perhaps the most beautiful river in the world and you will appreciate the amazing limestone karst landscapes along the boat trip to Yangshuo. Li River cruise journey is really a rest and relax trip. You will disemark at Yangshuo after the 4 hours' river cruise.
The arrival pier is at the eastern end of the West Street. You will experience the charms of Yangshuo's West Street (Xi Jie), a colorful, warm and lively neighborhood in the midst of the area's romantic environs. You'll have plenty of time to explore Yangshuo's shops and markets. Cycling, or bamboo rafting on Yulong River are the most popular activities in Yangshuo (optional, price exclude). Finally, you'll dine in Guilin before being brought back to your hotel. Or you can see the show Impression of Liusanjie (optional, price exclude) directed by the famous director Zhangyimou before going back to Guilin.
Day 4: Guilin tour, Guilin-Xi'an (B, L)
After breakfast, your guide will take you to famous Guilin landmarks Elephant Trunk Hill. The Elephant Trunk Hill is a very beautiful park located at the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River. The Elephant Trunk Hill looks a huge elephant drinking water by the Li River. And the Elephant Trunk Hill is usually used as the symbol of Guilin. It is a must-see place of a Guilin tour.
Next, you will go to the Fubo Hill Park, which is a very beautiful park with lots of stories and legends. Fubo Hill is located to the west side of Li River with half immersing in water. From the summit the hill you can have a bird's eye view of the whole city. There are quite a lot attractions to see in Fubo Hill Park, like 1000 Buddha Crag, Pearl Returning Cave, and Sword-Testing Rock, ect.. After that, you will visit Reed Flute Cave, a 790-foot deep dripstone cave, which includes myriad multicolored stalactites and stalagmites. The Reed Flute Cave is also a famous tour attraction in China and there are a lot of the state guests, leaders of foreign countries and celebrities have visited the cave. Afterwards, you'll fly to Xi'an.
Day 5: Xi'an (B, L)
After breakfast, our guide will meet you in the hotel and then you will go to visit Big Goose Pagoda. The big Goose Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda built in AD 592 Tang dynasty. It was the storage of original Buddhist scriptures brought from India during the Tang Dynasty. It is located in Xi'an, and it is now Xi'an's signature landmark and the most famous tour attraction in Xian. It is on the list of National Key Cultural Relic Preserve and as a 4-A scenic spot in Xian.
Xian is the capital city of Shaanxi Province. The history of Xian can be traced back to Zhou Dynasty. Xian is on the top of the four famous ancient capital city of China. History is usually the main topic of a Xian tour. You will visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum in Xian which is considered to be a showcase of ancient civilizations of china. You will see a lot precious relics dating back over 6,000 years in history.
Day 6: Xi'an tour, Xi'an-Beijing (B, L)
Today, you'll enjoy a tour of the Terracotta Army Museum. Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses found in Xian are regarded as "The 8th wonder of the world" . The Museum of the Terracotta Army is a must-see attraction in China. The museum is situated in the southern suburb of Xian. You will see pottery statues of life-sized infantrymen, archers, officers and their horses guard the tomb of China's first emperor, Qin Shihuang. Afterwards, you will visit the City Wall at the center of Xi'an city.
Day 7: Beijing (B, L)
In the morning, you'll make an excursion to the Badaling Great Wall, one of the world's greatest architectural wonders. After lunch, you'll visit to the Ming Tombs, with its Sacred Way and giant marble statues guarding the tombs of Ming Dynasty emperors (1368-1644AD).
Day 8: Beijing (B)
In the morning, you'll be taken to visit Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, better known as the Forbidden City, built in 1420, it was where 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. After lunch, You'll be brought to the airport after breakfast for your departure flight. Your tour with much memories in China ends.
