Upon Arriving at Guilin, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Guilin. Free the rest of the day for you to explore tbe beautiful Guilin city by yourselves.
Day 2 Bus tour, Li river cruise to Yangshuo from Guilin, stay in Yangshuo (B, L)
Li River Cruise tour is a must-see of any trip to Guilin. The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. Then you will be transferred to the Zhujiang Pier (about 1 hour drive) for a 4.5 hours wonderful Li River cruise with lunch aboard. You will enjoy the picturesque mountains, peaceful green fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank. Disembark at the one thousand year old town YangShuo -one-thousand-year-old town, a lovely and relaxing place to break a journey and to soak up some of China's most beautiful scenery in the afternoon. Have a short exploration to the old town before to be transferred back to Guilin city, or you can stay in Yangshuo hotel and enjoy colorful nightlife in West Street, Yangshuo.
Day 3 Bus tour to Longji Rice Terraces Tour depart from Guilin or Yangshuo (B)
It takes approximately 2 hours drive form Guilin city, or 3 and half hours drive from Yangshuo to Longji. The Terraced Paddy Fields in Longji show a scene of great momentum and imposing beauty, regarded as having no match under the heaven. With a history of more than 700 years, the area is still being used for growing premium quality rice by local minorities. Longji (Dragon's Backbone) Terraced Rice Fields received their name because the rice terraces look like a dragon's vertebral column, paddy fields built on the top of the mountain ridge looks like the backbones of dragons. The Rice Terraces view in Longji, Longsheng is magnificent.
Longji is the home to many ethnic minority groups including Yao, Miao, Dong, and Zhuang people. The many ethnic minorities represented here that include the Zhuang, Yao, Hui, Miao, Mulao, Maonan and Dong enriches the cultural life of the city. Each minority has its own unique customs and festivals and this means that they are much more abundant here than in many other places elsewhere in China. The minorities life and culture is an eternal topic of Longji tour.
