Trip Itinerary & Travel Details
Day 1 Chengdu - Leshan - Mt. Emei (L)
After breakfast, you will meet your guide and driver and then depart for Leshan by Cheng-Le expressway which is about 155km in the morning. Leshan Giant Buddha is located at the confluence of the Minjiang river, Dadu river and Qingyi river. You will take a cruise on the river and have a overlook at Leshan Giant Buddha. After about 40 minutes cruise tour, you will continue you journey to Emei Mountain, which is regarded as one of the four China's major Buddhism mountains.
It takes about 1 hour's drive to Mt. E'mei. You will change to take the bus to Leidongping, walk to Jieyin Hall and the Golden Summit (Jinding), visit Huacang Temple. Stay overnight on the summit.
Day 2 Mt. Emei - Chengdu (B, L)
You are suggested to get up in the early morning to enjoy the wonderful sunrise on Mt Emei, which is regarded as one of the four famous wonders of Mt. E'mei (The four wonders is called the sunrise, clouds sea, Buddhism aurora and Holy light). There are quite a lot to see on the Mt. Emei including natural sceneries, historical cultural heritage sites and lovely monkeys.
After that, you will take the shuttle sightseeing bus down to the foot of mountain and be transferred back to Chengdu.
