Day 1: Arrival in Guiyang (/)
Our guide and driver will meet you at the arrival hall of Guiyang Airport and transfer you to Kaili directly. Kaili is the capital city of Guizhou Southeast Autonomous Prefecture where the Miao is the majority in the region. Free time is at your leisure in the rest of the time.
Day 2: Kaili-Langde Hiking tour (B, L)
This morning drive to Langde-a beautiful Miao vilage which was regarded as the national relics in 2002 due to it's old architetures. Then we start to have a 5 hour hiking trip to Upper Langde, , which is the major historical and cultural site. There you can enjoy the natural views and the life style of our Miao minority people. You may enjoy the excellent natural and historical background just like you are in a dream. You will enjoy the local dancing and singing.
Day 3: Langde Hiking tour (B, L)
This morning we will see a performance of songs and dances. Upper Langde is famous for it's 12 road-blocking rice wine, Big Lusheng and bronze drum dance. After lunch, we will have a 6 hour hiking tour to Langde Miao Village which is 30km away from Kaili City. It is featured by the long-shirt villagers and their house named Diao Jiao Lou.
Day 4: Congjiang Hiking tour (B, L)
Today we continue our journey to Zhaoxing via Congjiang, you will have chance to visit a very special and old Miao Ethnic village-Basha Miao Village on the way. It has been left virtually untouched by modernization and tourism. Residents there still live in their wooden houses, preserving and practising centuries-old customs. The Basha people is the only tribe that is allowed to carry guns. The man adult of Basha Miao Village carries a hunting gun on his shoulder and a gunpowder bag , a bullet bag and a knife around his waist, making himself up like a ancient warrior. After that continue your trip to Zhaoxing.
Day 5: Zhaoxing Hiking tour (B, L)
Today we will have a 8 hour hiking tour, we will walk through many beautiful Dong villages and terraced fields. Zhaoxing is famous for its Dong Villages which is the largest in China. Each village here has at least one drum tower, a wooden structure built without nails and can erect as tall as 30 meters. As the focal point of the whole town, it is the place villagers holding the special events and ceremonies such as the wedding and public meeting.
Day 6: Zhaoxing-Sangjiang Hiking tour (B, L)
Visit Diping wind and rain bridge in Diping on the way to Sanjiang. And then see tea platation, walk to the explore the Dong villages in Chengyang. Chengyang scenic area is 19 km away from Sanjiang county seat, there are 8 Dong villages in the area. Chengyang wind and rain bridge is one of the famous old bridges in China. Walking into the bridge, you can sit on the bench and enjoy the picturesque scenery afar: the meandering Linxi River, growing tea trees, working peasants and turning waterwheels.
Day 7: Sangjiang-Longji Hiking tour (B, L)
Drive to Longji, have a hiking tour to enjoy the spectacular rice paddies in Ping'an Zhuang village. The scenery along the way is also very unique and beautiful. Longji terraced fields scenic spot is the most beautiful rice paddies in Guangxi which includes Ping'an terraced fields and Jinkeng terraced fields.
Day 8: Longji Hiking tour (B, L)
Have a 5 hour hiking tour to Jinkeng terraced fields. There you will have a panoramic view of the whole rice terrace,if it's a sunny day,you will see the sunrise there,The terrace scenery combine the sunrise looks really fantastic.The Red Yao live in this region, women here keep long hair and wear beautiful woven jackets.
Day 9: Longji-Guilin and Depart (B, L)
Walk from Ping'an to Jinjiang village through a few old Zhuang villages. Then drive to Guilin airport for departure.
