Longji, a mountainous area about 110 km away from Guilin. Our bus day tours to Longji Rice Terraces start from 8:00 am in Guilin and 7:00 in Yangshuo. The tour buses will leave Longji for Guilin at about 15:30 and arrive in Guilin at about 18:30 pm.

Longji Rice Terraces are located in Longsheng County and nested within the high lofty mountain range and cover a total area of 71.6 square kilometers. The highest elevation is 1,180 meters above the sea level while its lowest elevation is 380 meters above the sea level, having a vertical drop of 800 meters.

There are thirteen villages in Longji. Ping'an Village, Jinkeng Village and Ancient Zhuang Villages are the most famous villages.

Zhuang and Yao people are good at singing and dancing, they like sing folksongs to spread their centuries-old splendid history and reflect their happy life. You can appreciate the wonderful songs and dances performed by Red Yao girls with their long hair at Huangluo Yao Village.

The best time to Longji is from April to early June. The paddy fields are full with water and the farmers are busily ploughing at that time. Another best season is from mid-September to early October when it is the golden harvest season of Longji.
