Day 1 Arrive Beijing, Airport or Railway Station pick-up and transfer to hotel
Upon arriving in Beijing, you will meet your guide and be transferred to your hotel in downtown Beijing. Free for relax the rest of the day.
Day 2 Beijing tour (B, L, D)
Our guide and driver will pick you up after breakfast. Today's tour starts with the visit of the Tiananmen Square. It is a very important place for celebrations in traditional Chinese festivals and important days with cultural and political significance. It is the largest square in the world. It will take about half hour to go around it.
Tiananmen Square got its name from the Tiananmen Gate, which means Gate of Heavenly Peace. From Tiananmen Gate you will walk and directly enter into the Forbidden City. It was a vast complex of building groups which make up the former residence of the ancient emperors. It is the largest and the best preserved ancient imperial residence in China today, and it is now open to public as Palace Museum. Forbidden City is a Must-see attraction of Beijing tour. It is listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world.
After lunch, visit Temple of Heaven, the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world. It is a worship altar where Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. It is also listed as the World Cultural Heritage Site. The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest is a magnificent triple-gabled circular building with 38 meters in height and 30 meters in diameter, stands on a round foundation built with three levels of marble stones.
Day 3 Beijing tour (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and go to visit the most representative part of China Great Wall, Badaling Great Wall--- the most famous and the best-preserved wall in China. Have traditional Chinese lunch at Longdi restaurant . After lunch, have a short visit of Jade Carving Factory while having a rest. Move on to the Ming tombs--- Changling, the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. In the evening enjoy Peking Duck Dinner. Transfer back to your hotel.
Day 4 Transferred to the airport, Fly to Lhasa (B)
Our guide will meet you at the arrival hall of Ghongkhar Airport or Lhasa train station and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. Free the rest of the day for you to rest and relax and adjust to the high altitude.
Day 5 Visit Jokhang Temple, Barkor Market Street and Potola Palace (B)
After breakfast, our Lhasa day tour starts with the visit of the world's highest of the ancient palace architecture - the Potala Palace, the "pearl of the plateau," which was founded in the seventh century AD. The Potala Palace was named after Mount Potala. The Potala Palace was the castle of the Tibetan Buddhist leader Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama fled to Dharamsala, India in 1959. The Potala Palace is listed as a UNESCO's World Heritage site.
The Potala Palace is the symbol of Tibet. It is one of Chinese national key protected cultural relics, is the most important castle in Tibet. It is a museum for materials and articles of Tibetan history, religion, culture and arts. The Potala Palace is well-known for its precious sculptures, murals, scripture, Buddha figures, murals, antiques, and buddhist jewelry collections, they are all the most valuable carrier of Tibetan culturel and art.
You will visit the Jokhang Temple in the afternoon. It is also a UNESCO's World Heritage site. Jokhang Temple is also called Dazhaosi. It was first builded by King Songsten Gampo in about 642, Tubo Dynasty. Jokhang Temple is the holiest site in Tibet and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhists.
After that you will stroll on the Barkhor street. It is the oldest street in Lhasa. The Barkhor Street is located in the center of Lhasa. It circles the Jokhang Temple. It is one of the must-see places in Tibet. There are a lot of shops along the street were filled with all sorts of unique items. The Barkhor Street, usually regarded as the "Window of Tibet" is famous for its shopping.
After the day tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Lhasa.
Day 6 Visit Sera monastery, Drepung Monastery (B)
In the morning, you will start your explorations by visiting Sera monastery: Sera Monastery, built in 1419 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) , is one of the 'great three' university monasteries of Lhasa. The Sera Monastery is a special branch of Tibetan Buddhism Monastery
of the Gelugpa or Yellow Hat Sect. The monastery is made up of a Great Hall, three colleges (Sear Je college, Sera Negger college and Sera Me) and thirty residential compounds with chapels reserved for monks. There are hundred monks in residence here. Sera Monastery Monastery is famous for its tantric teachings.
After lunch, you will visit Drepung Monastery. 'Drepung Monastery' means Monastery of Collecting-Rice in the Tibetan language. Drepung Monastery is the most important and the biggest monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism. It is located at the foot of Mount Gephel, in the western suburb of Lhasa. It is another one of the "great three" Gelukpa university monasteries of Tibet. Drepung Monastery has great historical importance and significant political influence as well. Drepung is well known as the site of the annual Shoton Festival, with its dramatic giant thangka painting on the hillside.
After the day tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Lhasa in the afternoon or early evening.
Day 7: Depart Tibet (B, D)
Send you to Lhasa airport or train station for you to depart for Xian. Pick you up from airport and transfer to your hotel. After a short rest we visit the Great Mosque---the largest and best preserved mosques of China which built in the later 14th century ago. Its colored painting and pattern are really the representative of art. You can feel the spotless clean solemn religious atmosphere in this secluded quiet place.
Day 8 Xian city tour ( B, L, D )
Pick up from your hotel at then visit Terracotta Warriors, the Eighth Wonder of the World. The sumptuous large scale military line-up of real size soldiers figures re-creates the powerful Qin army which swept the other six countries away 2000 years ago.
After lunch, visit the Forest of Stone Steles Museum, a classical courtyard styled structure with the oldest and richest collection of steles in China, display the great works of calligraphy, painting and historical Steles which records the Chinese culture achievements.
Then we move on to visit the City Wall -the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China. The wall has a history of over 600 years. After that, transfer you back to your hotel. End tour.
After dinner, the guide will take you to see the Tang Dynasty Show -performance of music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty over a thousand years ago. The musicians present the music with the Tang-dynasty-style musical instruments. You will enjoy a national art that reflects the glory and richness of the Tang Dynasty era.
Day 9 Xian tour and Departure for Guilin ( B, L )
Pick you up from your hotel. Firstly visit the Provincial Museum---a magnificent modern national museum, which built in the dignified and elegant Tang-dynasty style. The superb craftsmanship of 370,000 relics including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects shows the splendor of Chinese civilization.
Then we will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda It is one of the city's most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian as well. At last we transfer to airport and leave for Guilin. Stay in Guilin hotel.
Day 10 Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo ( L )
Pick up from your hotel in Guilin at about 8:00 am and drive to Zhujiang Pier. The Li River Cruise to Yangshuo is the most scenic cruises on earth. The Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is the highlight of Guilin tour. Li River flowing from Guilin to Yangshuo boasts the largest and most beautiful scenic area in China and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
- Li River Cruise: A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there's something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. Boats depart from various wharves, according to the height of the river at different times of the year.
Yangshuo is one of the most famous tourist destinations of China. It boasts breath-taking natural sceneries, mysterious ancient local dwelling houses and an insight into a diverse range of cultures.
Day 11 Free in Yangshuo in the morning, transfer back to Guilin in the afternoon
You will be free in Yangshuo in the morning. Tour guide might recommend a lot interesting activities in Yangshuo (price exclude). You could rent bikes cycling to visit the beautiful countryside villages and enjoy an exciting bamboo rafting down the Yu Long River. You could also attend a cooking class in a cooking school in Yangshuo, then you could enjoy a lunch cooked by yourselves. You will be transfer back to Guilin in the afternoon.
Day 12 Reed Flute Cave, Fubo(Whirlpool) Hill, Depart Guilin ( L )
- Reed Flute Cave: Known as 'the Palace of Natural Arts' this large and well-presented cave system has some remarkable formations. Make sure you have some small change for the children who sell flutes for as little as one yuan if you've got nothing less than a dollar you'll end up with their whole stock.
- Fubo(Whirlpool) Hill: It is located in the city proper. Fubo Hill is a 4A scenic spot of national grade. It is cliffy, propping up from the ground, famous for the Pearl-Returning Cave (nearly 350 steps to enjoy the view).
Day 13 Shanghai (B, L)
Today you will visit the most famous Shanghai tour attractions. You will be picked up from hotel in the morning to have a one-day trip. First to visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which is the best viewing spot of Shanghai. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is on the east bank of Huangpu River, located in Pudong New Area. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest tower in Asia, the the third highest tower in the world. And after that, we will drive to Yuan Garden, it is one of Shanghai's top tourist destinations. Yuyuan Gardeb is a 400 year old classical Suzhou-style garden in downtown Shanghai. You can have a rest when you enjoy its traditional architectural style of Yangtze Delta.
After lunch, visit Jade Buddha Temple. The Jade Buddha Temple is a very famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. This temple consists of three main halls and two courtyards. The are two magnificent white jade Burmese Buddha statues enshrined in this temple. The Jade Buddha Temple is the best place to understand the buddhist culture in Shanghai. Stay in Shanghai.
Day 14 Departure Shanghai (B)
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your next destination.
