Trip Itinerary & Travel Details
Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa
our tour guide will be awaiting for you at the airport or the train station and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. Upon arrival, take rest for altitude acclimatization.
Day 2: Visit Jokhang Temple , Barkor Market Street and Potola Palace
After breakfast, visit the world's highest of the ancient castle architecture - the "pearl of the plateau," said Potala Palace, which was founded in the seventh century AD, from the Dalai Lama of Tibet has been a political and religious center, a collection of real physical store and the Dalai Lama's gold pagoda and a large number of valuable paintings, Thangka, Buddha, is a concentrated expression of Tibetan culture; the afternoon visit the Tubo Dynasty built the first temple period - Jokhang Temple, it enshrines the Princess Wen Cheng brought the 12-year-old life-sized Buddha image, the hearts of the Tibetan people the most sacred prayers of a statue of Buddha. Then strolls Lhasa most ancient street - -Barkor Market Street , here is mostly sells local and Nepalese, the Indian handicraft and the native products.Stay in Lhasa City
Day 3 : Drive from Lhasa to Lhoka,Visit to Yumbu Lakhang and directly to Trandruk Monastery.Stay in Lhasa City.
Day 4: Visit the Gyantse Via Yamdrok Lake, late afternoon drive to Shigatse Overnight at Shigatse.Stay in Shigatse .
Day 5 : Early morning start driving to Rongbuk via Shegar. The road is a bit rough, on the way you will cross over Gyatsola Pass at 5,220 m, which is the highest enroute. Rongbuk is the highest monastery in Tibet, still a good point to see Mt.Everst. Afternoon start trekking from Rongbuk to E.B.C , it takes about 2 hours. Or you can take animal carriage ( 30rmb/per person). Overnight at E.B.C tent Guesthouse.(dorm beds).
Day6 : If you are lucky enough, you will see sunrise at E.B.C. , then go back to rongbuk and start driving back to Shigatse. Stay in Shigatse.
Day 7 : Morning visit the Bachen Lama Set - Tashilunpo Monastery , which was Built in1447 by the first Dalai Lama . Afternoon drive back to Lhasa along Yarlong Tsangpo river by the Nepal friendship road. Stay in Lhasa
Day 8: Send you to Lhasa airport or train station.Your wonderful Tibet tour ends.
