The Xian Subway
The construction of Xian subway is on schedule. It is estimated that the first two main lines of the Xian subway will be officially open to traffic by the end of 2013. According to the plan, there will be six lines radiate to all directions of Xian.
A Brief Introduction about the Six Lines:
Line 1: (west - east) Xianyang People's Square to Lin Tong.(two phases of construction) Line 1 will run at two-minute intervals. It is estimated that the passenger transportation volume will reach 287,000 per day. It will take only 45 minutes from Houweizhai to Fangzhicheng.
Main stops: Epanggong, Laodong (Labor) Road, North Street, Wulukou, Chaoyang Gate, Kangfu
Line 2 (north - south): North Railway Station to Weiqu (two phases of construction)
Main stops: North Street, Bell Tower, Xiaozhai, International Exhibition Hall, Changan District
Line 3 (northeast - southwest): Xinzhu to Cepo County
Main stops: Xingqing Park, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Qinglong Temple, Shaanxi Historical Museum, Xiaozhai, Changan Science and Technology Industrial Zone
Line 4 (north - south): Caotan Farm Yard to Weiqu Science and Technology Industrial Zone
Main stops: Qujiang Holiday Area, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian Railway Station
Line 5 (west - east): Fangzhicheng Railway Station to Liucunbao
Main stops: Qujiang, International Exhibition Hall, Sanqiao
Line 6 (west - east): Fangzhicheng to Changan Science and Technology Industrial Zone
Main stops: Xingqing Park, Bell Tower, South College Zone
