Hangzhou Transportation

Four long-distance bus stations outside the city center service Hangzhou, including East Long-distance Bus Station, South Long-distance Bus Station, West Long-distance Bus Station and North Long-distance Bus Station. One can arrive at China's 12 provinces and municipalities directly from here. What's more, you can also buy tickets in China Construction Bank in the center of city.

Waterage
Hangzhou is close to the Qiantang River. River branches crisscross the city with a well-developed water transportation system, namely, the Grand canal and The Qiantang River. Along the Grand Jing-Hang Canal, there are pleasant boat trips to Suzhou, or down to Fuyang, Wufan, Jiande, Lanxi and other cities in Zhejiang province along the Qiantang River.

The Qiantang River Tourism Company opens three tourist routes: one is the 24-hour Fuchunjiang Tour; the second is The Tour of Grand Canal's Night; the third is the one-day trip of Qiantang River, Fuchun River, Guan Shan.

Public Bus
In the city of Hangzhou, 278 bus lines are available in Hangzhou; sightseeing buses are options for tourists as well. Buses with letter "Y" are all for tourists. Passengers if in a hurry could take Line 9 (5 Yuan) which goes along the lake, so that they can get the overall sight of West lake, surrounding mountains and the city. Moreover, double-deck tour buses would be a better choice for passengers who hope to view the surrounding sceneries, which is cheap and convenient.

Special Tourist Routes
At present, there are five special tourist bus routes and five holiday touring bus routes in Hangzhou. People can take Tourist Line No.2 at the train station and Holiday Line No.5 to tour around Hangzhou.

Taxi
Taxis are widely available in the city and offer metered service to popular destinations. The minimum fare of taking a taxi in Hangzhou is 10 Yuan for the first 3 kilometers (another 1 Yuan is charged for fuel costs). Cars with drivers can be found easily in tourist areas.,,
