Climate of Lijiang |
Lijiang City lies in the low latitude area, in the northwestern part of Yunnan Province. Lijiang enjoys a highland climate with distinct dry and rainy seasons, but the four seasons isn't very distinctive in Lijiang. Lijiang belongs to a temperate plateau and mountain monsoon climate with an annual average temperature between 12.6 and 19.9 degrees Celsius. From the foot of the mountain to the peak, it has a very distinctive climate change. Vertical climate in some highlands can also be seen in Lijiang. Without too much change from spring to winter, the weather of Lijiang allows visitors to get there at any time.
The annual rainfall is between 910 and 1040 mm. Lijiang's rainy season begins in May and ends in October. Non-frost days is about 191 to 310.
