Emblem:
The emblem of World Expo 2010 Shanghai, depicting the image of three people-you, me, him/her holding hands together, symbolizes the big family of mankind. Inspired by the shape of the Chinese character "?" (meaning the world), the design expresses the pursuit for happy and harmonious life and the concept of comprehension, communication, gathering and cooperation and highlights the positive people-oriented pursuit of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China.

The Site and Pavilion Planning
Site:
The site of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai is located at the riverside areas on both sides of the Huangpu River, mostly between Nanpu Bridge and Lupu Bridge. The planned land area for the Expo covers an area of 5.28 square kilometers, of which 3.93.square kilometers is on the east side of the river and 1.35.square kilometers on the west side. The fenced-in area (into which admission ticket is required) is about 3.28 square kilometers.

The site planning tries to energetically create an example of a harmonious city. The concept of a harmonious city includes harmony between man and nature, harmony between history and future and harmony between people and people.
In 2007, the construction of main venues and pavilions of the World Expo will begin in an all-round way.
