Sanya Huihui Mosque

Sanya Huihui Mosque is about 6 km from Sanya city and it is the earliest mosque in Sanya which has a history of over 700 years. Sanya Huihui Mosque is situated at Huihui Village and it was originally built at the beginning of Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). Sanya Huihui Mosque is the very first mosque in Hainan Island with Arabian architecture. Sanya Ancient Mosque was once destroyed during the culture revolution and rebuilt on the original site in 1986 with the donation of local Muslims. The prayer hall of Sanya Ancient Mosque can accommodate over 1000 people to pray at the same time. Sanya Islamic Association is located at this mosque.
