Xiangxi town |
Xiangxi town locates at the confluence of the Yangtze River and Xiangxi stream. The Baoping village is the hometown of Zhaojun who was the maid of honor of the emperor in Han Dynasty. Married to the Xiongnu King, Zhaojun was able to exert a good influence on relations between the Xiongnu and Han peoples, which gained her great respect. Local people built a loaf of temples and courtyards to commemorate her with the beautiful stories.
