Si Mian Mountain |
Si Mian Mountain means "Four Directions" for it's surrounded by mountains. The highest peak-Centipede Peak-is 1709.4m above sea level and the lowest point is only 560m. Among those over 1500 different type plants the Alsophila Spinulosa tree makes the mountain well known.
Waterfalls, streams and high mountain lakes are the 3 features of this mountain. There are over 100 waterfalls all around so that this area is also called "the hometown of waterfall". The Wang-Xiang Waterfall is 152m high and 40m wide considered the largest one among its type in China. Another Shui-Kou Waterfall is 94m high also considered a rear one. There are other waterfalls with their own character as well.
