Baiheliang hydrologic carving |
To the north of Fuling is Baiheliang, a natural stone ridge in the Yangtze, 1600 meters long and 15 meters wide. It's covered with different kinds of earrings. Among them 20 stone fishes that were used to record the water level of the Yangtze in the dry season are the most famous.
Baiheliang is submerged. In order to protect these carvings, the local government is building an aquatic museum. Tourists can enjoy the carvings in the water when the museum is built.
