Gongbu Region, Tibet |
The lowest in height among the 7 prefectures in Tibet, Gongbli is tamed for its botany. Located in the south-east Tibet, the whole area is covered by a dense and evergreen virgin forest which is the 3rd largest in China; the climate is relatively humid and warm. The world biggest cypress tree is found in this area, not far from the capital town named Bayi. It is amazing that the pre-religion, Boil is mainly preserved and practiced in this region.
