Big Banyan Tree Park

The ancient big banyan tree is located 7.5km south of Yangshuo, one of the main scenic attractions of Yangshuo county. It is a 1400 years old tree with beautifully twisted roots , exuberant gnarled branches and leaves, with a primitive simplicity.

The banyan tree is 17 meters high, covers an area of 1000 square meters. There is a huge branch stretching out starting just one meter above the ground. It is surprising that this branch has not been harmed during wind and rain for thousands of years. The tree is so lushly that the sunshine hardly penetrates its leaves. You will barely break out in a sweat even on the hottest day of Summer if you sit under the tree.

A scene from the famous old movie Liusanjie was filmed here at the Big Banyan Tree. Thus a beautiful love story adds to this old tree. That's why lovers like taking pictures together in front of this old Banyan. This sightseeing spot should definitely be included into your travel plan.
