Airport shuttles are available and cost RMB20 with no fixed schedule. A shuttle bus is available for departing passengers leaving from the CAAC Shanghai Road. The taxi price from airport to Guilin is about RMB100. But it is hard to find an English speaking taxi driver.
Guilin Train Transportation, Guilin Railway Transportation
There are two train stations in Guilin, the South Guilin Train Station and the North Guilin Train Station. The South Guilin Train Station, or usually called Guilin Train Station is the major train station for passengers located in downtown area. The North Guilin Train Station is located about 10 km away form dwotwon area.
Train travel is the major transportation for Chinese people. Guilin Railway Station is mainly a middle train station of the Chinese railway network. Only a few trains originating in Guilin. Traveling by train is certainly budget way to travel in China and a good opportunity to enjoy the country side view at a more leisurely pace. But the sleeper train tickets are very limited. Full prepayment in advance is required.

The road transport network is also well developed in Guilin. There are quite a lot intercity express buses arrive and depart from the Guilin General Bus Station, also called Guilin Long Distance Bus Station. The highway network in China is good. But few foreigners take intercity bus to come to Guilin.
