The tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in the morning, and then you will start your Shanghai day tour excursion to Suzhou. Suzhou is one of the most beautiful old towns in the Yangtze basin, founded in about 600 BC. With its interconnected waterways and beautiful environment, Suzhou is often referred to as "The Venice of the East." Suzhou is a renowned historical and cultural city, and its famous gardens are well preserved, almost completely intact.
Upon arrival in Suzhou, your first visit will be the Net Master Garden, which is the best and most celebrated as a model Ming Dynasty Garden in all of Suzhou. The Net Master Garden is among the finest gardens in Suzhou and it is recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After that, you will go to see the Ancient City Gate and Grand Canal. The Ancient City Gate of Suzhou, Panmen Gate is located at the southwest of the ancient Suzhou. The magnificent Ancient City Gate consists of Water and Land Gates, city gate tower and city walls at both sides. The gate was a well designed defensive fortress in ancient times. But it is now a very beautiful tourist attraction in Suzhou.
Suzhou is a famous for its silk products since ancient times. You will visit a small silk factory to see how the silk is processed from silk worm to the final product. It is very interesting trip arrangement.
After lunch you will visit the water town of Zhouzhuang, 30 km southeast of Suzhou. Zhouzhuang is surrounded and divided by lakes and rivers. You will board a little boat to cruise the waterways to see the distinctive views of the water-town.
