Day 1 Arrive in Beijing, airport to hotel transfer (/)
Upon your arrival at Beijing International Airport, China's capital city, your personal guide will meet you and accompany you to your hotel in downtown Beijing. The rest of the day is yours to relax, or step out into this amazing city for a short adventure on your own.
Day 2 Beijing city tour to Mutianyu Great Wall and Temple of Heaven (B, L)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will start your tour to Mutianyu Great Wall in Huairou county, about 45 miles from Beijing. The view around Mutianyu Great Wall is very beautiful. Mutianyu Great Wall stretches 1.4 miles on the lofty granite mountains ridges. There are some watchtowers distributed along the Great Wall. Cable car is available in Great Wall at Mutianyu (price exclude), Mutianyu slideway (One way) is also availabe (price exclude).
After lunch, you will drive back to Beijing city and visit the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. The Temple of Heaven is an Imperial Sacrificial Altar in Beijing. It was built in the 15th century. The Temple of Heaven is a solemn complex of fine cult buildings set in gardens and surrounded by historic pine woods. In its overall design and that of its individual buildings, it symbolizes the relationship between the human world and God's world.
Day 3 Beijing city tour to Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City and Hutong in Beijing (B, L)
Today you will visit some other must-see places in Beijing. Today's Beijing city tour starts with the visit of the Tian'anmen Square. The Tiananmen Square is in the center of Beijing. The square is surrounded by many significant buildings including Tiananmen Gate, The Forbidden City, the Great Hall of the People, The Monument of the People's Heroes. Mao Zedong Memorial Hall is also located in the square. It is Mao's morgue, not a mausoleum.
After short visit and taking photos at the Tiananmen Square, you will visit the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City is also called Palace Museum. It was built in Ming Dynasty and the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world. The Forbidden City is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Beijing.
After lunch time, you will enjoy Hutong Tours in a Rickshaw. Hutong is a maze of historic alleys with old single storey traditional courtyard houses. Taking a Hutong Tour in a Rickshaw through the narrow alleys to explore the Beijing histories there.
Day 4 Beijing to Chongqing, Board Yangtze River Cruise ship (B)
Taday you will leave Beijing for Chongqing to take Yangtze River Cruise. The Yangtze River is regarded as the cradle of China's civilization. After breakfast you will be transferred to Beijing Airport and fly to Chongqing. Upon arrive Chongqing, you will be transferred to the Cruise pier and board the Yangtze River Cruise. You might visit the Three Gorges Museum, and Ciqikou Old Town (optional, price exclude) before Boarding the ship. Please notice the boarding time is from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and the departure time is about 10:00 pm at Chongqing Pier. You can arrange your dinner in Chongqing city or on boat(price exclude).
Day 5 Yangtze River Cruise ship (B, L, D)
Cruise on Yangtzi river is very comfortable journey. You can participate in many onboard cultural activities, go exploring the riverside ancient towns like shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City (8:00-10:00am), or simply relax on deck, breathe some fresh air, view the stunning passing scenery and take photos on boat. Fengdu is a legendary city of ghost.
Day 6 Yangtze River Cruise, Three Gorges (B, L, D)
Today's highlight is the cruise going through the Three Gorges. The first is the magnificent Qutang Gorge, about 7:00 - 7:30 in the morning. Please note to listen to the radio notice. The ship will pass through beautiful scene Wu Gorge at about 14:30-16:00 in the afternoon. You will have a memorable experience of the shore excursion of Shennong Stream or lesser three gorges with a sampan tour through the treacherous gorges. Cruise on Yangtzi river, shore excursion to Shengnong Stream(1:30 pm-5:30 pm).
Day 7 Yangtze River Cruise, Xiling Gorge, Three Gorges Dam, fly to Shanghai (B)
Today you will pass through Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of all the gorges. You will have a stop at Sandouping to view the historic the Three Gorges Dam Site, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. After the shore excursion of Three Gorges Dam, you will disembark at Yichang in the afternoon at 13:00 pm. And then, you will fly to Shanghai.
Day 8 Shanghai Suzhou Tour (B, L)
You will enjoy a wonderful Shanghai tour extension to Suzhou, where is about 80 km away from Shanghai. You will first visit of your Suzhou tour will be the Lingering Garden -the best garden in Suzhou as well as being one of the four most famous gardens in China. Then we will visit Humble Administrator's Garden -the largest private garden in Suzhou and one of the four most famous classical gardens in China. Move on to visit the Panmen Gate area. Drive back to Shanghai after the day tour. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day 9 Shanghai (B, L)
Today you will visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which is the best viewing spot of Shanghai. And after that, we will drive to Yuan Garden, it is one of Shanghai's top tourist destinations. Yuyuan Gardeb is a 400 year old classical Suzhou-style garden in downtown Shanghai. You can have a rest when you enjoy its traditional architectural style of Yangtze Delta.
After lunch, visit Jade Buddha Temple. The Jade Buddha Temple is a very famous Buddhist temple in Shanghai. This temple consists of three main halls and two courtyards. The are two magnificent white jade Burmese Buddha statues enshrined in this temple. The Jade Buddha Temple is the best place to understand the buddhist culture in Shanghai. Stay in Shanghai.
Day 10 Departure Shanghai (B)
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your next destination.
