Day 1 Arrive in Guiyang (/)
Upon your arrival at Guiyang airport, you will be met and welcomed by our guide and then transferred to the hotel. Free for relax the rest of the day.
Day 2 Guiyang-Liuguan-Guiyang (B, L)
Today you will experience the remaining culture of the old Han (Chinese) ethnic group. We will drive for 1.5 hours to reach Liuguan Village. Women here are still dressed in traditional Ming dynasty costumes, and houses remain faithful to the Ming architectural styles. The ancient stone house, lots of legend story, warm-hearted people, and their lovely smile will leave you an unforgettable experience. After that we will watch a local Ground Opera performance, famed for the performers' symbolic masks. Then we will explore nearby old Han villages in the afternoon. We will drive back to Guiyang after the tour.
Day 3 Guiyang-Xiaba-Dazhai Village (B, L)
We will explore villages around Xiaba start from Guiyang. After lunch, we'll spend the afternoon hiking through the Damochong Valley with dense bamboo groves and clear streams. We'll stop along the way and learn about the art of traditional paper-making.
Day 4 Dazhai village-Yandi village-Guiyang (100km, 1.5hr) (B, L)
In the morning we will explore Dazhai Village, an enchanting maze of old wooden houses amongst green paddy fields. Then we'll take a 3 hours hike through this area of quaint mountain villages and reach Yandi White Miao Village, where you will get the chance to visit a local family, and chat with them. In the afternoon you will be driven back to Guiyang.
Day 5 Guiyang-Kaili-Maomaohe Village (35km, 0.5hr) (B, L)
This morning we will drive to Leishan County about 3 hours. It is the center of the Miao culture in Southeast Guizhou. From Leishan, we will hike for half an hour before we reach Maomaohe Village, which is known for its Long-Skirt Miao, a subgroup of Miao ethnic minority group.
Day 6 Maomaohe Village-Leishan-Guiyang (280km, 3.5hr) (B, L)
After breakfast in Maomaohe Village, we will drive to Paika Village via Leishan. Hiking in Paika Village for 0.5 hour, you may feel as though you are idling along a corridor of landscape paintings of limestone pinnacles set against terraced rice fields and picturesque villages. In the afternoon, we will visit Datang Village, inhabited by Short-Skirt Miao, a subgroup of Miao ethnic minority group.
Day 7 Guiyang (B)
Your time is your own, until you are ready to be transferred to the airport for you to depart for your next destination.
