Day 1 Arrive in Guangzhou (/)
Upon your arrival in Guangzhou, our guide will meet you at Guangzhou airport. Then our guide and driver will transfer to your hotel in Guangzhou.
Day 2: Guangzhou tour (B, L)
After breakfast in the hotel, our guide will meet you to visit the Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Dr Sun Yat-sen was a the great revolutionary forerunner of china. He devoted his entire life to overthrow the Qing Dynasty and set up the Republic of China. His political philosophy is well known as the Three Principles of the People: nationalism, democracy, and the people's livelihood.
After that you will proceed to see the Five Ram Statue in Yuexiu Park. Yuexiu Park is the largest park in Guangzhou city center. Yuexiu Park is a very beautiful park. There are quite a lot attractions and culture relics worth to see in the park, include the site of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, the Square Cannon Site, the stone sculpture of the Five Rams and the Zhenhai Tower.
You will also visit the Temple of Six Banyan Trees, the Qingping Market and the Shamian Island in the afternoon.
Day 3 Guangzhou-Xian
This morning you will be transferred to airport and take flight to Xian. After arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel by our tour guide. After lunch you will go to visit the Provincial Museum-a magnificent modern national museum, which built in the dignified and elegant Tang-dynasty style. The superb craftsmanship of 370,000 relics including murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects shows the splendor of Chinese civilization.
Day 4 Xian Tour
Today your first visit is Terracotta Warriors, the Eighth Wonder of the World. The sumptuous large scale military line-up of real size soldiers figures re-creates the powerful Qin army which swept the other six countries away 2000 years ago.
After lunch, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is one of the city's most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful building left in Xian as well.
Then we move on to visit the City Wall -the best preserved, oldest and largest ancient city defense system in China. The wall has a history of over 600 years. After that, transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 5 Xian-Dunhuang
This morning you will be transferred to airport and take flight to Dunhuang. Pick you up from airport and transfer to your hotel.
After lunch, you will visit Yumenguan Pass. In ancient times, it was an important military pass, also a vital route on the Silk Road. The remained loess-rammed square fort of the original Pass covers a total area of over 630 square meters, with the ancient Great Wall passing outside the north gate, and a piece of waste land lying outside the west gate. And Great Wall of the Han Dynasty are best preserved here.
Day 6 Dunhuang-Turpan
Today's highlight is to tour the Mogao Caves, popularly known as the "Thousand Buddha Caves". The caves hold the world's richest treasure house of Buddhist sutras, murals and sculptures. Mixing India and Chinese styles, they are a remarkable record of Silk Road civilization. Here you will experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to the Crescent Lake.The lake and the Echoing-Sand Dune which can make sounds when the wind passes are located in the place where the sand and the oasis meet.
After the tours, you will be transferred to train station to take overnight train to Turpan.
Day 7 Turpan Tour
This morning, you will drive to Turpan to visit the Ancient City of Jiaohe, which is one of the most important towns along the ancient Silk Road. It is probably the same size as Gaochang but better preserved. It is also the largest, oldest and best-preserved earth construction in the world. It is a life-sized model of a Tang Dynasty city.
Then you will will have an exploration of the famous Ancient Karez system. It is complete with a museum of displays and pictures. It is a good way to get an understanding of how the tunnels were dug. The last stop of today will be Grape Valley. Situated in the base of the western end of Flaming Mountains, Grape Valley is a unique world of vineyards and fruit trees. This green paradise of 400 hektares is covered with layer upon layer of grapes.
Day 8 Turpan-Urumqi-Kashgar
Today we are going to visit the Astana Tomb, which is situated in the Gobi Desert. The tombs were the burial sites by the inhabitants of the ancient city of Gaochang. It covers an area of 10 square kilometers. Then passing by Flaming Mountain to Visit the Bezkelik Thousand Buddha Caves. They are a group of Buddhist cave grottos dating from the 5th to the 9th centuries. There are 77 rock-cut caves at the site.
After the tours, you will be transferred to Urumqi airport by private car. Take flight to Kashgar. Arrive at Kashgar, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 9 Kashgar Tour
Today we will visit Grand Bazaar and livestock bazaar. Grand Bazaar is situated in the East Gate of Kashgar, and is the biggest international trading market in northwest China. Then we will visit the largest mosque in China-the Id Kah Mosque. After that we will visit Abakh Hoja Tomb. It is the burial place of Princess Xiangfei who was taken as a consort by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty during the 17th century in a figure of a Chinese legend. Later we will visit the Old City of Kashgar, a key center on the Silk Road.
Day 10 Departure
Free at leisure until to be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Urumqi and then flight back to your home.
