Day 1 Arrive in Beijing (/)
Airport to hotel transfer: Your driver and guide meet you at Beijing Airport and then transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is your own time.
Day 2 Beijing tour: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace (B, L)
Today you will start your first visit to the world's biggest open-air city center square, the Tiananmen Square in downtown Beijing. After about 40 minutes sightseeing and photo shooting at Tiananmen Square, you will visit the Forbidden City - the Palace Museum. The Forbidden City, also called Gu Gong in Chinese, was the imperial palace for emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
After lunch, you will go to the Summer Palace which is the most beautiful park in Beijing. It is the best preserved and the largest imperal garden in the world. The Summer Palace in Beijing is also a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. You will have a good time to relax in the wonderful gardens, enjoy the classical Chinese garden architecture in the wonderful park in the afternoon. You will be transfer back to your hotel after dinner.
Day 3 Beijing tour: Great Wall and Ming Tombs (B, L)
Great Wall and Ming Tombs are must-see tour attractions of Beijing tour. The Great Wall is regarded as one of the greatest wonders of the world. After breakfast, you will drive about 35-75 miles north and west of Beijing to visit the Great Wall. Badaling is the nearest part of the Great Wall in Beijing and Mutianyu is a little further but less crowded and more spectacular.
After lunch, you will visit The Ming Tombs, which lie in Changping County, about 50 kilometers northwest of Beijing. It is a tomb cluster of the Ming Dynasty, including thirteen emperor's mausoleums. This cemetery is is also a UNESCO world cultural heritage site.
Day 4 Beijing-Shanghai (B, L)
You will be free until be transferred to Beijing airport and then fly to Shanghai. Our guide will meet you at the exit of Shanghai Airport and escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own. Stay in Shanghai hotel.
Day 5 Shanghai tour (B, L)
Your Shanghai tour begins with a visit to Yuyuan Garden. The Yuan Garden is also called 'Eastern Garden', a very famous and typical classical Chinese garden of Suzhou style garden in Shanghai.
Then you will visit Jade Buddha Temple. The Jade Buddha Temple is a very famous tour attraction in Shanghai which contains a priceless collection of jade statues from Burma. There are many collections of ancient sculptures, rare paintings and Buddhist scriptures in this temple.
After that you will proceed to The Bund, the water front of Shanghai. The Bund is the landmark and a symbol of Shanghai. The has long been one of the most important areas of Shanghai. It was the financial and commercial centers in 1930's. The old colonial-era buildings along the east bank of Huangpu River is the most famous scene in Shanghai.
You walk to Nanjing Road from the Bund. It is the most famous pedestrian shopping street that enjoys the fame as "the No.1 commercial street of China", also it is one of the most prosperous streets in Asia.
