Day 1 Arrive Beijing, Beijing tour (/)
Our guide will greet you at the Beijing airport in the morning and escort you to your hotel. After lunch, you will start your half day Beijing tour. Your first visit will be the Tiananmen Square in Beijing city center and then proceed to the Forbidden City that afternoon.
Day 2 Beijing Great Wall and Ming Tombs, depart for Nanjing (B, L)
After breakfast you will go to the outskirts of Beijing to see the legendary Great Wall of China and the Ming Dynasty Tombs. The first visit is the Badaling Great Wall, and then visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs after lunch. Afterwards, we will transport you to the airport or Beijing train station for you to depart for Nanjing.
Day 3 Nanjing tour (B, L)
We will pick you up at your hotel, or train station in the morning. You will start your wonderful Nanjing tour to see the sights of historic Nanjing, beginning with the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, constructed between 1381 - 1431 A.D. as the burial site for Zhu Yuanzhang, the first Ming Dynasty emperor. From there, it is on to visit the final resting place of a more contemporary leader of China, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, who led the Republic of China after the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty, the last of the dynasties in China.
Day 4 Nanjing tour (B, L)
We will pick you up in the morning after breakfast at your hotel to take you to the ancient Zhonghua Gate, an interesting and crucial part of the wall defenses of Nanjing from the Ming Dynasty. Then you will have the opportunity to visit the Yangtze River Bridge, a historic and impressive achievement especially considering the unpredictability of the Yangtze River. After lunch, you will visit the Nanjing museum, full of ancient and historical artifacts just as you would expect from one of China's most important and ancient capital cities. We will take you back into your hotel.
Day 5 Depart Nanjing (B)
We will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the airport in time for your flight on to your next destination.
