Xishuangbanna is full of a variety of tourist commodities, no matter the featured Dai costumes made by local women, or bamboo weaved handicrafts, jade ware, the Dai's colored drawing and pattern woodcarving, or even tropical fruits and tea (Pu'er tea) are cheap and high quality, tourists can go seeking and bargaining as much as their like.
Jadeware

Tea
Xishuangbanna is one of the most ancient cradle lands of tea in China, with all six renowned Pu'er tea mountains in its territory. In the early of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Pu'er tea was the most important merchandise on China's oldest tea horse road, and sold to Middle Asia and West Asia via the ancient road. Xishuangbanna's grand foliate tea is processed into black tea, which has bright color and luster, and strong fragrance; as for pekoe in green tea category. It's light in color and clear green of tea water. Famous tea brands are Nannuo Pekoe, Fociang Tea, Yunhai Pekoe, Foxiang Tea, Yuhai Pekoe, Ganglu, Xuanyun Tea, etc.
Tropical Fruit
Xishuangbanna is famous for its variety of tropical fruits all the year round, such as banana, pineapple, mango, dark plum, tamarind fruit, grapefruit, starfruit, pond apple, jackfruit and passion fruit. The jackfruit is the biggest fruit in Xishuangbanna, single one may reach the weight of 30kg. The passion fruit is called the "hundred fragrant fruit", when mature, it smells fragrant, with the food therapy of helping produce saliva and slake thirst; when mixing with water as the drink, it can help clear the mind and relieve summer heat.
Medicinal Plants
In Xishuangbanna's rain forest, grow many special medicinal materials, "xuejie" (dragon's blood) also named "kylin jie", an effective medicine for activating blood, it is a sort of medicinal plant which mostly cures traumatic injury, twinge out of blood stasis, rheumatic ache and numbness, as well as gynecological rare illness, and is the main ingredient of "Qi Li San", a Chinese medicinal drug.
