The Risk of War Over South China Sea |
Because of the South China Sea territorial sovereignty dispute between China and other countries, war or peace has become a matter of growing concern nowadays. The Chinese nation is a peace-loving nation. However, from a historical point of view, who can avoide wars forever?
The South China Sea is rich in oil, fishery and other natural resources. The strategic importance of the South China Sea also attracts other other non-neighboring countries involved in the sovereignty dispute over the South China Sea. This makes the problem of disputes has become increasingly serious.
China has set up prefectural-level city of Sansha that will administer the Xisha, Zhongsha and Nansha islands and the surrounding waters in the South China Sea. The population of Sansha is not known. Sansha government location is at the Yongxing Island, covering an area of about 2.1 square kilometers. The shape of the Yongxing Island looks like a huge aircraft carrier.
We hope that Sansha city and surrounding islands in the South China Sea will become a beautiful tourism destination and a link of peace and friendship with neighboring nations.
