Muslim Restaurants in Tibet |
Islam has a long history of over 1100 years in Tibet. Muslim halal foods were available since the Arabic merchants began to settle in Tibet and trade with the local Tibetans in 14th century. Currently, there are four Mosques in Tibet, among which two are in Lhasa City, namely Lhasa Great Mosque and Lhasa Little Mosque, and other two are in Changdu and Shigatse. Mosques are places of gathering Muslim restaurants. The follow is a list of Muslim restaurants in Lhasa:
