Guilin Yangdi Village

Yangdi Village is situated on the west bank of Li River and Yangshuo. It is an ancient beautiful village and it is about 46 km from Guilin. Every year, a large number of tourists were attracted by this lovely small village.

There is a beautiful mythology about the village. Once upon a time there was a daughter of the Jade Emperor (leader of all gods in Chinese legends) came to Yangdi Village to look for her pet goat. The beautiful fairy girl was deeply attracted by the melodious flute played by a young man standing in the moonlight and so she never returned to heaven. Her goat turned into part of the landscape with two of its hoofs being seen in the shape of two peaks.

Scenic Spots
There is a famous attraction in Yangdi Village - Mural Hill. Its full name is "Nine Horse Mural Hill" and is named because of the naturally shaped images of nine horses in different positions on the cliff. Legendary stories are given to hill rocks and peaks and it is a cheerful experience to appreciate the wonderful landscape while listening to tour guide's interpretation of the stories behind it.

During the low-flow period in winter, Yangdi Village becomes the starting point of the Li River Cruise. Yangdi Village is an ideal place to enjoy the misty rain of Li River. The village in the rain seems to be a wonderland, quiet, peaceful and mysterious place.

The landscapes there are very spectacular. Here you will be intoxicated by the elegant mountains, winding water, delicate beach, striking waterfall, dense green bamboos and dotted villages. During these time you will forget all troubles and pressure and feel relax.
