 Three Goeges Dam
China Three Gorges Dam project is one of the largest water conservancy and hydropower project in the world. As early as in 1919, Chinese democratic revolution pioneer sun yat-sen has proposed to build the dam so as to improve the navigation and exploit the Yangtze water power resource.
The Three Gorges project started demonstrability in 1954 and finally got approved and operated in 1992 after 38 years. |
